I am so happy to congratulate the Georgia Campaign For Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) for celebrating their 20th anniversary! GCAPP has celebrated with special events throughout the year, honoring both their beginning and their progress.

Founded in 1995 by Jane Fonda to reduce the high number of unintended and teen pregnancies in Georgia, they have achieved great success over the years. On September 24th there will be a grand celebration to honor GCAPP and Ms. Fonda. Over 500 will attend with a special performance by Grammy-Award winning artist, Alison Krauss. All of us at teenNow will be celebrating with them, in spirit!

Over the past few years, Kim M. Note, MPH, MCHES, President & CEO has worked tirelessly to expand the mission, vision and focus areas of GCAPP.  Their focus areas have expanded to include:

  • Teen pregnancy prevention
  • Physical activity & nutrition
  • Healthy relationships

Congratulations to all at the Georgia Campaign For Adolescent & Potential and cheers for another 20 more!
